2010 was the year that Eddie Shiffler (ex-Keyser Soze, Dangerous Ones) Mark
Bohrer (ex-Grannie, Goat Singer, Boot Pie) Tony Roina (ex-Hip Joint Chamber,
Naked City, Boot Pie) and Tyler Land (ex-Grannie, Naked City, Boot Pie) came
together and became Dogz of Zeus. Boot Pie, which had success with MTV and
exciting live shows, was no more.
Once Eddie joined the band, they recorded an EP and re-enlisted
with long-time engineer/producer Jamey Staub (www.jameystaub.com).
Jamey has been involved in recording artists such as Public Enemy, Everlast,
Roy Ayers, Cassandra Wilson, Willie Nile, A Tribe Called Quest to name a
few. The excitement from the EP prompted the band to sign as an artist with
Perimeter Records. Soon after, bassist Mark Bohrer left the band and was replaced by Steve Steele. With the raw power of their sound, and enigmatic
stage theatrics, Dogz of Zeus is quickly becoming one of the most intense
and entertaining live bands in New York City.
